The Resource Management Support Centre (RMSC), of the Forestry Commission (FC), has convened its Annual Performance Review Meeting at the Lancaster Hotel, bringing together management and departmental representatives to reflect on achievements in 2025 and chart a clear path for 2026.
The meeting served as a strategic platform for accountability, learning, and institutional strengthening, going beyond a routine review to reinforce collaboration, innovation, and effectiveness across the Centre.
In his welcome address, Mr. Yaw Atuahene Nyako, the Director of RMSC, emphasised the need for collective responsibility and continuous improvement, noting that the Centre’s success is anchored in teamwork, innovation, and a shared commitment to excellence.
A key highlight was a thought-provoking presentation on Data Quality, Integrity, and Timelines in Technical Decision-Making, which underscored the importance of accurate and timely data in informing sound forestry and resource management decisions. The session generated robust discussion, with participants offering practical recommendations to strengthen internal systems and reporting processes.
Departmental presentations formed the core of the review. Units including Production, Plantation, GIS, Mensuration, CRM, ICT, Human Resources, and Accounts presented comprehensive reports on their 2025 performance. Alongside notable achievements, departments openly discussed operational challenges and outlined forward-looking strategies aimed at improving efficiency, enhancing service delivery, and advancing the Centre’s mandate in 2026.
An open forum further reinforced inclusiveness and teamwork, providing staff the opportunity to raise concerns, propose improvements, and explore ways to deepen collaboration across technical and support units.
In his closing remarks, the Director commended staff for their dedication and contributions throughout 2025 and urged renewed focus and commitment in the year ahead.
As the Resource Management Support Centre steps into 2026, the outcomes of the Annual Performance Review Meeting stand as both a reflection of progress made and a roadmap for sustained excellence. With strengthened collaboration and a clear strategic outlook, the Centre is well positioned to advance its mission with confidence and purpose
