The Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission, Dr. Hugh Brown, hosted a 5-member delegation from the 50th Anniversary Planning Committee of the Ghana Police Hospital at his office on Thursday, 13th February 2026.
The delegation, led by Dr. Rafik Mahama, the Secretary to the Planning Committee, mentioned that the main purpose of the visit was to officially inform the Chief Executive of the upcoming year-long 50th anniversary celebration of the Police Hospital, and to also to seek technical support from the Commission for the planting of trees at some designated areas of the Hospital, which is part of the activities slated for the anniversary.
Dr. Brown in welcoming the delegation mentioned that the Commission will support the tree planting exercise to green the compound of the Hospital as that is its main mandate. ’’The Forestry Commission welcomes any initiative that bothers on tree planting and the Commission will therefore give it all the attention it deserves’’ he said.
Dr. Mahama mentioned that the delegation will come to the Forestry Commission for further discussions on how the tree planting exercise will become a success
